What an amazing year at St. Paul's. All has been a preparation for this trip to Jerusalem, which will truly be a life-changing experience. We went with 20 teens to beautiful Alexandria, Louisiana to experience the power of the Holy Spirit and Jesus in the Eucharist. There was music, talks, and meeting young people from all over the South East US. There were over 3000 people at the event. It was beautiful for me to see the changes that were made in the hearts of the teens, especially seeing God's love being poured out into them. This was the last thing I did at St. Paul's, and next stop if Jerusalem. I leave tomorrow at 4:15pm Air France to Paris. Au Revoir!!

I have some of the greatest friends that anyone can have. They came and gave me so much joy! We all had a great time eating fantastic Salvadorian food provided by one of the ladies from St. Paul's. We had pupusas, rice, beans, and mexican tacos. We also had Ice Cream cake brought by my beloved Paul family. Definitely one of the greatest gifts that God has given me has been the friends that came to share my birthday with me. These are just some of the memories that I will have before I go visit beautiful Jerusalem.

Good Bye Reception at St. Paul's
God has been so good to me this last year at St. Paul's and it finished with quite a bang by having a "goodbye" reception. I will be here another two weeks, but it fit perfectly in a time when I am getting ready to go to Jerusalem. The people at St. Paul's have been so generous it's even hard to describe and tell all the different things that have occurred this last year. These are just some of the beautiful people that I have met over the last year that have impacted me and showed me God's merciful love.

Marian Consecration
I am nearing the end of my Marian Consecration for the month of May. It will end May the 30th and I will celebrate it on the 31st, the feast of the Visitation of the Blessed Mother. That date coincides with a healing that I received 2 years ago when I was in the hospital with an intestinal obstruction. A friend brought me water from Lourdes, and in this way, the Blessed Mother visited me all the way from France. The irony was that 3 years prior to that, I had been in Lourdes but had been unable to bathe in the waters because of some situations that came up. Now the Virgin Mary came to me and healed me with the water from Lourdes. I was released the following Sunday. Praise God and His and our Blessed Mother!!!

Pastoral Year Institute
The 16 seminarians who are on pastoral year have been called together to share about how God worked in our lives. We have come from Austin, Dallas, Victoria, and Houston to speak about how the people of God have worked in our lives as well as how the Holy Spirit has worked in our lives. Our general experience has been quite fantastic. It has been an honor to share with these men what we have done and what the Holy Spirit has done through us. This is just another small step in me getting closer to Jerusalem and eventually to the priesthood.

What a beautiful party it was for Fr. Fred at St. Paul's on his 20th anniversary of priesthood.
